Who are your partner agencies/ How do you find kids & families to use the tickets?

Kids Up Front works with over 220 child-serving agencies, schools and government organizations  to distribute tickets fairly and efficiently to thousands of deserving children each year. Our registered agencies formally agree to select suitable ticket recipients from children within their programs, arrange appropriate supervision, coordinate event logistics and strictly adhere to Kids Up Front policies. Can I get a charitable tax receipt for my ticket donation?

Yes. If you are the owner of the tickets, you may be issued a charitable tax receipt for the base price of the ticket, before fees and taxes. Canada Revenue Agency requires that donors provide the ticket proof of purchase for all charitable tax receipts. This proof of purchase/receipt must show the breakdown of charges.

 

Can I donate e-tickets?

Yes! e-tickets can be sent to tickets@kidsupfrontcalgary.com. Kids Up Front will confirm receipt of the e-ticket by email.

 

Can I donate tickets for a same-day event?

Yes. Kids Up Front typically requires the donation by 2:00 p.m. on the same event day. This provides time for Kids Up Front and our partner agencies to select a ticket recipient and coordinate logistics. While we accept tickets for same-day events, Kids Up Front deeply appreciates having more notice so we can have sufficient time to coordinate distribution to kids who may benefit most. Sometimes, we can distribute tickets with shorter notice, so please just give us a call – 403-444-4318.

 

How can I get the tickets to you?

Kids Up Front asks donors to mail, drop off or courier tickets to our office. Don’t forget to include a business card or basic contact information!

Who uses my ticket(s)?

Ticket recipients are selected by Kids Up Front’s over 220 registered partner agencies. Tickets ALWAYS go to children and families supported by the agency. Quality control measures are in place to ensure opportunities are broadly distributed to maximize the number of children who ultimately benefit.

How do I know my ticket is being used by a child?

Registered agencies agree to strictly abide by Kids Up Front policies which state that tickets are used by children and youth and families. We always encourage a higher ratio of kids to adults.

 

Who supervises the child?

A suitable and trusted adult is selected by the agency to supervise the child. Parents, social workers, mentors, teachers, etc.

 

What tickets do you accept?

Any child-friendly event ticket or admission pass can be donated. Kids Up Front also accepts “tickets” for extracurricular activities, such as music, dance, swimming, martial arts, drama, art classes and all kid friendly events. We can accept gift cards too!

 

How late can I drop off tickets?

Tickets can be dropped off during our office hours. Please call our office at 403-444-4318 to check our current office hours, but we are typically open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Do you accept financial contributions?

Yes. Financial gifts are deeply appreciated and support Kids Up Front’s program delivery that provides this one-of-a-kind free service. Kids Up Front does not charge partner agencies to register; nor do ticket donors pay a convenience fee. Kids Up Front Foundation is a registered charity.
